Israeli forces continued to strike Dahiyeh in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, where the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed last week. Smoke rose from the remains of buildings and vehicles after the strikes, as people in Dahiyeh fled their homes. The Israeli military issued orders overnight for evacuation from specific neighbourhoods, warning in a statement that it would hit Hezbollah targets in buildings there. The Lebanese health ministry said in a statement early on Thursday that 46 people had been killed and 85 wounded in Israeli strikes on Lebanon in the past 24 hours
