Florida police capture footage of flooding from Hurricane Milton

Video shared by the Lee County sheriff's office showed flooding and storm surges after Hurricane Milton slammed into Florida's west coast on Wednesday night, bringing 'catastrophic' winds that were expected to cause significant property damage. The storm made landfall near Sarasota just after 8.30pm local time, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said, bringing a deadly storm surge to much of Florida’s Gulf coast including densely populated areas such as Tampa, St Petersburg and Fort Myers.
