The Biden administration has announced the removal of Cuba from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism, as part of an agreement aimed at securing the release of imprisoned protesters in Cuba. The Cuban government has welcomed the move as a positive step forward but acknowledges that the decision could be reversed by future US administrations.
