Explosions heard from Indian side of Kashmir border as Operation Sindoor commences

Explosions were heard and flashes of light seen in the night sky from the Indian side of the Kashmir border as shelling was reported on Wednesday. The Indian government said the strikes hit nine targets and were launched in response to an attack on Hindu tourists in Indian Kashmir last month that killed 26 people.
