Demonstrators in France have been rallying against proposed cuts to the national budget. Organizers are calling for nationwide protests, including school walk-outs and traffic blockades. Protesters say budget cuts would broaden inequality and affect the cost of living. The austerity plan was proposed by Prime Minister, Francois Bayrou, who resigned on Monday night following a vote of no confidence. The new prime minister of France, Sebastien Lecornu, has been sworn-in, in Paris. President Emmanuel Macron, is hoping the former defense minister and close ally, will help him pass a national budget by the end of the year. Lecornu says the government will have to be creative and work with opposition parties. But the new Prime Minister has a difficult task ahead.
