Israeli attacks on school, tents and homes kill at least 17 people in Gaza

Israeli forces are intensifying their bombing of Gaza City, striking densely populated neighbourhoods. They're carrying out a major offensive to seize control of the Strip's largest urban centre. Overnight, Israeli strikes killed Palestinians while they were sleeping. Tents, a home and a school-turned-shelter were among the targets.
