Lebanon seeks control of Palestinian camps as PA backs plan to disarm armed factions

The Lebanese government's plan to disarm Palestinian factions in refugee camps faces delays as the Palestinian Authority restructures its security apparatus. This initiative, set to begin in mid-June, follows an agreement between Lebanese authorities and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to bring weapons under state control.
