Russia and Ukraine agree on 1,000 prisoner exchange

The heads of Russia and Ukraine's delegations at peace talks in Istanbul said on Friday they agreed to exchange 1,000 war prisoners from each side, the largest swap since the start of the conflict. Speaking at a news conference in Istanbul, Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian delegation and an adviser to president Vladimir Putin, said three main points were discussed: the prisoner exchange, a potential meeting between the countries' presidents, and a ceasefire.
