Western warnings to Israel late but significant: Palestinian envoy to the UK

The leaders of Britain, France and Canada are warning of action against Israel if it does not end its military assault and the blockade on Gaza. In a joint statement, they said Israel's denial of vital supplies to the civilian population is “unacceptable” and risks breaching international law. Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut has more from the Jordanian capital Amman. She's there because the Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel and the occupied West Bank. He says that the statement by Canada, France and the UK threatening action against Israel if it does not stop a renewed military offensive in Gaza and lift aid restrictions is “19 months late”, but is nevertheless “very significant”.
